Take Me Home Program

This program allows for the rapid identification and safe return to their homes of citizens who are unable to communicate to law enforcement officers about themselves.  This information is placed into a database accessible to Nassau County Sheriff’s Deputies through their in-car computer systems.  This data speaks for the person and gives the information necessary to bring your loved ones safely home to you.

How does it work?

A family member contacts the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office or ARC/Nassau to register as individual.  Descriptive information about the family member to be registered and caregiver contact information is collected.  The information is stored in a database located on the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office network.  In the event a registered family member is separated from their home, sheriff’s deputies can utilize their in-car terminals and safely reunite them with there family.
