Crime Stoppers pays for information that results in the arrest of area criminals. If you have information about a crime, you might be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
Here's how it works -
You have information about a crime, you have not already given this information to law enforcement, and you want to remain anonymous. Call the First Coast Crime Stoppers' toll-free tip line at (866)845-8477.
You will not be asked for your name, where you live, or how you got the tip. The call center has no way to identify you because it does not have caller ID and it does not use electronic recording devices.
You will be given a "tip number" that corresponds to the crime being reported.
Your tip will be given to the appropriate law enforcement agency for investigation. Rewards of up to $1,000 are paid for information that leads to an arrest, not a conviction.
Once a reward is approved by the Crime Stoppers Board of Directors, you will be given a "pick-up number" and instructions on where to pick up the reward.
Rewards are paid in cash. They are picked up at a local designated bank using the "pick-up" number only. You can use the bank's drive-through teller window if you wish. No questions asked.
